Some One's Sons

Some One’s Sons are a dynamic five-piece Irish folk band, carving out a distinctive place in Ireland’s vibrant folk scene. Fronted by singer-songwriter Daniel Allen, their sound is folk music for today - rooted in tradition and shaped by a modern edge. Their songs blend powerful storytelling with themes that resonate now, capturing the realities of a changing Ireland while delivering high-energy, memorable live performances. Their debut EP, The Boom is Back, explores themes that run deep throughout Irish history, yet strike a chord with today's generation.

The band recently completed their debut Irish and UK tour, including headline shows in Glasgow, Dublin, Liverpool and Galway, as well as a sold-out show in London. They have previously supported Sharon Shannon, Seán Keane, Chasing Abbey, George Murphy, The Fureys, and The Scratch, with festival highlights including Electric Picnic, Galway Folk Fest, the Fleadh Cheoil and the Galway International Arts Festival.
