U.S. born musician and songwriter Drew Shanefield brings his unique and eclectic catalog of music to the Backroom at the Cobblestone Pub. This collection of songs, curiously named Vernon Papers, encompasses much of Drew’s musical output from the last several years.

“I think VP started as a way to create an alternative persona, one that’s for me, void of history and expectation. Vernon Papers began as a collection of home recordings. As a result, much of the ego is gone, dismissing excuses and the need for perfection. The only need is to be genuine and search for musical truth.”

On stage, Drew’s Vernon Papers experience is largely a solo one. An acoustic, an electric and a notebook full of musings. The sound at times can be raw and from the depths, and at other times vulnerable and thoughtful. Always from the heart and the gut.
